Tree Shadows

Two of my photographs are currently on exhibit at the Newark Art Association's juried Black & White show.

They include this peaceful yet dramatic piece, Desert Tree Shadows. This image subtly integrates nature's architecture into our human living space.

Tip of the Month - Neurodiversity

The ability to see and/or communicate with nature beings is real and is a neurological ability that is now being studied scientifically.

One branch of this work originated as a necessity for understanding the mental processes of the increased number of people with such orientations as ADHD, autism and dyslexia.

Some organizations now refer to the wide range of documented diversities as "The Genius Within."

Other studies concern the way in which indigenous, or traditional, cultures successfully work with nature - a subjective approach v the empirical methodologies of Western Culture.

Around the world, ecologists and indigenous activists are joining together to successfully challenge commercial destruction of significant natural sites.

This is based on the indigenous knowledge that nature is formed of sentient beings who should be accorded the same legal rights as human beings.

All of this means that those of us who can connect to life forms of other realms are now having their skills documented by Western science.

The Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture is a good source to start your own research on this. It is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal whose editorial board is composed of professors of major universities around the world.

Image of the Month

Lake Grass Geometry

Our November Special is this photo of the geometric shapes created by autumn grass and its reflection, captured in the lake waters of the U.P. (Upper Peninsula, Michigan).

This photo received first place in judging at the Chester County Camera Club. The judge said it spoke to his heart.

The image of the month is always a special treat for my readers. Prints of this Lake Grass Geometry are available throughout November at a 20% savings.
