Children's Ministry
Growing in Faith Together
What does a good relationship to a parent look like? As a kid, I saw my parents as "super heroes", and wanted to be just like them! I loved spending time together sharing my thoughts and feelings, observations and dreams, and everything else. I trusted them to take care of me. Love, trust, admiration and aspiration are embodied in that relationship.

Paul wrote in Romans 8:12-25 that we are children of God, adopted into the Beloved Family. Our present and future are secure as heirs of God. It is our duty and delight to grow up into the family likeness, and honor to bear that name and reflection in the world. Creation longs for us to see ourselves and everyone as children of God and act as if we believe it. Paul says our identity as children of God is important for individuals who follow Jesus and for the whole world.

In our prayer and practice this week, can we practice seeing the image of our loving and gracious God in our own reflection and in the faces of everyone we meet? Consider how we might treat ourselves and others "as if" God were really present in each one, even if we don't clearly see our beloved parent. The peace which passes all understanding will keep you in Christ Jesus our Lord.

SPARK News
It is time to register for SPARK! Please contact Gretchen for more information.

The lesson for this week is from Romans 8:12-25. Paul reminds us we are Children of God! It is important to remember who we are and Whose we are in this world that would have us believe otherwise.
Nursery Nuggets
Hi Nursery Buddies and Parents!

I hope you are all having a good summer so far! As we play in the sun, remember to grow up big and strong by eating those veggies and listen to mom, dad and guardians. We all want the best for you. Guess who taught us how to want the best for you? God! God wants the best for us and for us to do the work to follow Him. He has called for all of us to do our part, even you little one! In this time apart, God is giving us chances to be kind to others, read His word and show what we know about Jesus. So be on the look out for those moments we get to do that! In the meantime, have fun with this song with your family!
