WHITE ROSE SENIOR CENTER!

York County Food Bank brings the

Commodity Supplemental Food Box with Cheese on Thursday, November 3, 2022.

  • This continues throughout the month until all of the 170 boxes are gone!!!

Central PA Food Bank Fresh Express is available the 2nd 4th Thursday of most months.

In NOVEMBER, Fresh Express will be held the November 10th at 10:00 ONLY due to Thanksgiving on 11/24/22 and the Center will be closed.

***SPECIAL NOTE: In December 2022, we will NOT have Fresh Express due to other holiday events! Fresh Express will resume the 2nd and 4th Thursday in January 2023 (January 12th and 26th).***

You need to be 60 or over and/or a Resident of Broad Park Manor. The service begins at 10:00 (as long as the food is delivered to us on time and the volunteers are ready to roll).

WHAT ARE THE CHANGES?

  • We are stopping curbside pick-up service and front door service since we will be open for you to enter the building. We do not have the manpower to do what we have been doing for the past two years since we will have members inside for activities and lunch. You must come inside the building to pick up the Fresh Express items like we did prior to the pandemic.
  • Bring a cart, shopping bags and/or some boxes to go through the line inside of the building. Volunteers who have been doing an AWESOME job throughout the pandemic will place the items in your cart, bags, or box as you go through the line. Many of them are pictured in the picture below!
  • The doors will open at 9:00 AM. Come inside and have a seat. We will begin calling numbers/table numbers about 10:00 AM. You will come up to the beginning of the line and we will take your name for our recording sheet.
  • There is no reason to come to the Center before 9:00 because the way we are calling you up is strictly random.
  • There is plenty of food for all that come for Fresh Express. Please be patient, flexible and kind to one another!

Beginning the week of November 28th at noon, help decorate  White Rose Senior Center for the holidays! We will have refreshments and holiday music to get us in the festive mood!

The Annual Christmas Box Raffle will run from December 5th through December 16th. Ten boxes are being sponsored to support White Rose Senior Center. Raffle Tickets will be on sale starting Monday, December 5th and this fundraiser is open to the public from 8:00-4:00 Monday through Friday!
