Kairos Vol. 5, Issue #29
SLUMC Building Front
Friends,

I recently received thank you notes from Rosie Gentry who ran the Power Point and Wilson Arnpriester who ran the sound system. They also opened and closed up each Sunday along with making the coffee for Fellowship time. Both were grateful for the cards and gifts given by members of the congregation. I quote ...

"SLUMC has given me the best and kindest work environment..."

"Every Sunday has been a lesson in generational friendship..."

"Talking and visiting with people from across the US about their experiences was more than just a job to me..."

"I will always remember their corny jokes..."

"Even as the time passes and I move around, I know I'll always look at a Methodist Church with warmth and a sense of home..."

I am reminded once again that we never know whom and how we will influence someone as our lives intersect!

So much of the time we convey more by how we interact than what we say.

Lasting impressions have been left in two young people. The ripples from their time with us will continue to touch others.

Thank you for your interest, care, and support for those with whom you interact.

I am grateful,

Marvin

COUNSELING MINISTRY NEWS
Counseling Logo
As we are all separated from each other, the statement, "We are all in this together" has become very meaningful to me. I think we find ourselves searching for new meanings to our daily living.

Remember, you don't have to have a big problem to call a counselor. Most of us are just normal people who are dealing with unusual circumstances. It can be helpful to talk over some of the thoughts and feelings you've had the past few months. Call a friend, or a counselor! - Mary Sievert, SLUMC Counselor
