Virtual Summer Open House

Learn about all Raritan Valley Community College has to offer and how to enroll in Summer Sessions and Fall Semester classes at a Virtual Summer Open House, May 26, at 6 p.m. During the event, participants may apply for free, take a virtual tour of the campus, hear from students and alumni, and learn about:
  • Innovative academic programs designed to help students transfer to top colleges & universities
  • Career training programs designed in partnership with local industry
  • Financial aid options, including scholarships, loans and grants
  • Free tuition for those who qualify for the NJ Community College Opportunity Grant
  • Early college programs for high school juniors and seniors

Summer Classes

Registration is now open for RVCC’s summer classes, with sessions beginning May 17, June 7 and July 6. Summer is a great opportunity for visiting college students to earn extra credits and save money and for high school juniors and seniors to jumpstart their college education.
Back on Campus this Fall

Register today for Fall Semester classes. Classes begin September 1, and we’re planning to be back in person. We’re working hard to make sure the campus is safe and complies with all CDC and state health guidelines. We can’t wait to see all of you.

Admissions Information Sessions

RVCC is offering Virtual Admissions Information Sessions in May, including special sessions focusing on pre-college options, the Honors College, visiting students, and RVCC’s Beauty programs. Registration is suggested for all Admissions events.
Generous Gift Supports Environmental Programs

RVCC has received a $500,000 donation to support a number of important initiatives on campus, including the College’s Center for Environmental Studies, Galileo Scholarships, Honors Capstone Research, the Authentic Engineering Experience, and other innovative RVCC programs.
New Scholarship Opportunities

The RVCC Foundation is providing four new $2,000 scholarships available to African-American students through the Evelyn S. Field & Paul Robeson Scholarships at RVCC. Applicants must be full-time, degree-seeking students who are attending RVCC as freshmen for the Fall 2021 Semester. Students must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or greater, and preference will be given to students who live in Somerset or Hunterdon County.

Deadline for applications is June 2.

Honors College Independent Study Projects

Students from RVCC’s Honors College presented their independent “Capstone Course” projects during a virtual symposium, held May 4 via Zoom.
Nota Bene Honors

The essays, dance videos, animation and artwork by our talented students are being highlighted in the annual Nota Bene Awards.
RVCC Student Honored for Volunteer Efforts

RVCC student Alexander Lazeration of Hillsborough has been recognized for his volunteer work with the New Jersey Campus Compact Changebuilder Scholarship Award. The $1,000 scholarship recognizes one outstanding Changebuilder per campus.
Successful Men’s Basketball Season

The RVCC Men’s Basketball team finished the season as the Region XIX runner-up, advancing to the East District Semi-Final. The Lions were led in scoring and rebounding by freshman Dan Dextraze, who contributed 13.9 points per game and 7.0 boards per contest. Sophomore point guard Robert Terr led the team with 6.2 assists on the season. The Lions traveled to Lackawanna College with a chance to win its first Region XIX Championship. Despite the loss, the team was still selected to compete in the District Tournament with an at-large bid.
