Greetings!

Greetings to all! We wanted to share a few updates with you:

We're excited to announce that SHARE, Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE), Black Health Matters and Eisai, Inc. recently launched a brand new initiative, Spot Her For Endometrial Cancer, to help raise awareness about uterine/endometrial cancer.

Be sure to join us on June 2nd for our special Let's Talk About It: Uterine Cancer Survivorship webinar. The presentation will focus on a variety of issues that survivors face, and there will be plenty of time for Q&A and conversation.

We were thrilled that Dr. Jeannine Villella, Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at Lenox Hill Hospital, joined us in April to present information on several exciting advances that were highlighted at this year's SGO Annual Meeting. The video recording of her talk: Report Back From SGO - What's The Latest in Uterine Cancer is now available.

Keep reading below for further information on these and other programs.

If you would like to contact the uterine cancer program team directly, please email us at uterineprogram@sharecancersupport.org

With our warm regards,

Kitty Silverman, Uterine Cancer Program Director
Nefa-Tari Moore, Outreach and Uterine Program Coordinator

  • SHARE has partnered with HealthUnlocked to create an online uterine cancer community where you can feel safe, supported, and empowered to tell your story and discuss your issues. Our community has 93 members so far - join today and you can help us reach that important milestone of our first 100 members!

  • SHARE mourns the recent passing of Pamela Hegg, a SHARE uterine support group member. In memory of her, we share her story—in her own words. In April, CURE spoke with Pamela about her journey with a rare form of endometrial cancer in their podcast, “CURE Talks Cancer". Click here to listen.

ZOOM WEBINAR

Wednesday, June 2
1:00-2:00 PM ET
In cancer, survivorship focuses on the health and well-being of a person with cancer from the time of diagnosis until the end of life. In this intimate group setting, Allison Asante, Supervising Physician Assistant in Gynecologic Oncology at Lenox Hill Hospital, will talk about issues related to uterine cancer survivorship including physical effects of treatment, follow-up care, cancer recurrence, healthy best practices and more. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and share experiences with your peers.

Support groups are a low-pressure, empowering opportunity to exchange experiences, information, and care with women who understand what you're going through-to hear and be heard. Research shows that women with a strong community of support have better health outcomes. Our support groups are led by trained facilitators who are uterine cancer survivors.
