Social & Emotional Concerns for Pets & Their Owners
Ren Volpe & Angela Padilla
Online via Zoom | April 6, Tuesday, 5:00-7:00pm PDT
This workshop, led by Ren Volpe and Angela Padilla, will focus on the impact of loss and separation on pets and on their people.

When changes occur, including death, loss of companionship dissolution of families, and our beloved pets find themselves in an unfamiliar environment, whether physically or emotionally, what does that mean to everyone involved and what this might look like in a conflict resolution setting?

Participants will learn:
  • How far reaching the impact can be on pets and their people
  • What loss looks like for a pet
  • What to take into consideration from a conflict resolution point of view
Angela Padilla
Family Dog Rescue was founded in 2010 by Angela Padilla, a young mom battling breast cancer. As a grassroots-grown, 501c3 dog rescue organization, we save over 1,000 dogs per year from certain euthanasia and place them with loving families. We have been featured by The Discovery Channel, The Huffington Post, PayPal, Martha Stewart Living, Uber, Instagram, Iam Somerhalder Foundation, and Chicken Soup for the Soul.

Angela L. Padilla is also Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, Litigation & Employment at Uber in San Francisco. Ms. Padilla previously served as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel in VMware, Inc.’s Palo Alto in 2010-2015. She has an active pro bono practice which includes animal rights cases.
