Clean water for God's thirsty children

At Water With Blessings, Your Prayers are the Greatest Gift We Receive
Water Women in Ecuador (above) and Haiti (below) join in prayer for one another and for you, our benefactors.
And for many, this is the beginning of the most solemn week of the year.

While the Water With Blessings Community for Mission is filled with people from all walks of life and several different religious traditions, many of us are Christians. And for us, before we celebrate the joy of Easter, we remember the pain and suffering of the events before.

And in all of those events, there is prayer.

There is, of course, prayer during the Passover meal. But there is also the anguished prayer in the Garden of Gethsemani. There is silent prayer during the judgement. And even from the Cross, Jesus prays the Psalms of David.

Prayer is the foundation of our work at Water With Blessings. We begin each day praying for our Water Women around the world, and for you who make this work possible. At the same time, in small villages and out of the way places, in areas where people struggle for their daily bread, Water Women are praying for one another, and for you too.

So let us join together, this week especially, and pray that God will continue to guide us, fill our hearts with love for one another, and grant us peace in our lives and in our countries.

May God bless all of you and your families.

As a fitting end to the week that began with World Water Day, Coffee Chat featured two of our founders: Sr. Larraine Lauter and Arnie LeMay. The result was not only a description of those beginning efforts, but an in-depth discussion about the work of Water Women, and how God's grace and providence helped Water With Blessings bring clean water to God's thirsty children. We all learned a lot, and invite you to please take some time to click on this video and hear Sister Larraine and Arnie.
In observance of Good Friday, there will not be a Coffee Chat this week. We will return at Noon eastern time on Friday, April 9. Please plan on joining us then.
As we make our way through Holy Week, we also remember the difficult journeys of Water Women around the world

This Friday is often referred to as Good Friday, when Christians in many different cultures and countries around the world re-enact the lonely, pain-filled, stumbling walk as Jesus carries the Cross to the hill where he will be crucified.

In a similar way, we believe God walks along difficult roads with Water Women around the world, accompanying them to local water sources: wells, ponds, streams, and rainwater containment areas. There they fill their buckets with dirty, contaminated water.

But because of your generosity, the Sawyer PointONE Filter will clean that water of impurities, parasites, and water-borne illnesses. That clean water will then take away the thirst of God's beloved children.

Please consider changing another woman’s life – and by extension the lives of her own and three other families. One gift of $75 provides the bucket, filter, and training for one new Water Woman.

Or you can join our growing list of monthly sustainers by clicking the link below. By giving $12.50 each month, you can sponsor two new Water Women each year. We will send you information on where the Water Women live, and the impact your gift is making.

On behalf of those whom you will help, we ask God once again to bless you for your generosity.
Are you doing your Easter grocery shopping at Kroger?

We are a part of the Kroger Community Rewards program. You can link your Kroger Plus account to the Community Rewards program. A percentage from each purchase will go towards a quarterly donation made to Water With Blessings.

Last quarter, we received enough to underwrite the equipment and training for one new Water Woman. That means four families and their children drinking clean water. As good as that is, we hope we can do better. Please consider enrolling today as you begin to think about all the wonderful food that will be on the table for Easter.

Please remember that participation requires annual re-enrollment by all enrolled supporters. Please re-enroll if you haven't already done so.
