Who should attend? Anyone wishing to obtain a greater understanding of Michigan’s complex property tax system or the annual property tax assessment appeal process to the Board of Review and Michigan Tax Tribunal.
As a property owner, do you understand your local unit’s assessment and tax records on your own property? Participants on December 3 will learn the meaning of Tax Day and how property is valued by your local assessor. Participants will also learn the five different values for each property and the purposes of each as well as how local millages are determined.
December 10 explains your notice of assessment and terms such as inflation Rate Multiplier, and local Board of Review appeal information. Cost is $20 for each class and you must register. Learn more below.
