Thacher Montessori COVID-19 Policy Update 3-30-21
Given the newer and more contagious COVID-19 strain (B117), and in conjunction with the metrics of the rapid spread among individuals under 18 years of age, Thacher is updating its COVID-19 policy to reflect the following change

  • If a family member or recent close contact becomes symptomatic with any of the below signs or symptoms, student(s)/staff shall remain home and consult with the school nurse prior to arrival at Thacher. (This would mean if a sibling, friend, or carpool contact exhibits any symptoms listed below that can’t be attributed to a previously known health condition, they would remain off-campus until receiving guidance from the school nurse).

It is more important than ever that you remain vigilant in your daily attestation before arriving at school. You will find the updated attestation below.

This document attests that the student/staff arriving at Thacher, as well as members of their household, close contacts, and anyone that may carpool together, are free of:

  • Temperature of 99.5 or above
  • Cough
  • Nasal congestion
  • Sore throat
  • Headache
  • Rash
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Gastrointestinal distress (vomiting, diarrhea, nausea)
  • Atypical fatigue
  • Diminished or altered sense of taste and/or smell
  • New muscle aches

As always, please contact Thacher's Nurse Carolynn Moore, for questions or further guidance.
