Greetings!
No doubt, many of you have been feeling a range of emotions from the senseless death of George Floyd and the continued threat of COVID-19. Anger, rage, fear. These are complicated times with issues full of emotion for many. There are no easy answers. But in this time when so many of us are already struggling with the effects of COVID-19, let us take a moment to reflect. How can we, each of us, work toward bridging the divide in health disparities to people of color and those economically under-served in our community?
While COVID-19 is a part of our present and will continue as part of our future, as health care professionals we can help by bridging the divide in oral health disparities. As stewards of oral health, we are uniquely positioned to impact the communities we live and work in.
