Dear Parents,

This week was super busy at our school. Our oldest kids (Orange, Brown, Purple, Silver & Gold) had a special pre-Halloween treat. The Miami Children's Museum came and did a special Halloween performance on Thursday. On Friday, our friends from the Coral Reef Library came and did a story time for our Red, Yellow, Blue, and Rainbow classes.

On Thursday and Friday our students enjoyed the wonderful music class with Miss Clarice. Our Karate Kids had two amazing classes this week. This week the instructors took lots of photos that I am having put up on our website and as soon as they are there, I will send out the link.

This week most of our classes also visited the garden to plant seedling tomato plants that were donated by a local farmer. In all, nearly 200 plants were planted. I know we will have a bountiful crop and our kids will love eating the tomatoes at lunch time.

Thank you to everyone who turned in their new food form. If you have not already done so, please return it as soon as possible so we can be in compliance with the Florida Department of Health. Thanks also to everyone who has already turned in candy for our homeless project and non-candy treats for our Halloween parade. We will continue to collect until October 25th.

Thank you to the Kindergarten and First-grade families who are coming to school on time. Please aim to have your child IN THEIR SEATS no later than 8:20 so they can be ready to start the day on time. Finally, we have had many parents picking up between 5 and 45 minutes late this past week or two. Please remember that our school closes at 5:30. Most of our staff is here as early as 7:30 or 8:00. By 5:30, they have worked a long day and deserve to go home on time. Please remember that Brightwheel will automatically charge $5 for every 15 minutes late. Up until now, I have been voiding the charges but as the late pick-ups are becoming excessive in some cases starting next week the late fees will post to accounts. Thank you for understanding and for your attention to these matters.

Finally, next week I will be going to a childcare management conference out of the state. I will be out Wednesday-Friday but will have access to Brightwheel and my email if you need me. The admin team can handle anything you need on site.
