Join us for our Lincoln-Way Expo 2021

Inspired by community collaboration, the New Lenox and Mokena Chambers have joined forces for a joint chamber Lincoln-Way Expo. This event brings business and community together from across the Lincoln-way region. The Lincoln-Way Expo is a true community event for the family; it's one-stop-shop for everything this area has to offer.

We hope that you will join us for our 2021 event in New Lenox Village Commons. To keep our vendors and attendees safe, this event will take place outdoors (rain or shine), face masks/coverings are required, and social distancing is encouraged. 


Exhibitor info:
  • A single booth space is 12’ X 12’. 
  • You will need to provide your own table, chairs, tent, etc. 
  • Masks must be worn at all times and social distancing and CDC guidelines will be followed.
  • Electricity is not available. 
  • Event is rain or shine.

Exhibitor Fees:
  • Chamber Member Booth: $125 (Must be a member of one or both Chambers to qualify for the member rate)
  • Non-Chamber Member: $350 (Includes 1 year membership to both chambers)
  • Non-Profit & Taxing Bodies Booth: $75
  • Home Based Business: $75

Guest speaker: Brett Carr of Shaw Media Group will explain how locally owned businesses can reach their market with digital advertising by geography, demographics and search targeting with no wasted ad dollars.

Everyone in attendance will receive 30 seconds to introduce themselves and their business.

Attention Restaurant Owners participating in outdoor dining!
We have information from the Village of Mokena to share with our restaurant owners/managers.

The Temporary Outdoor Dining Guidelines and Application for restaurants is available for download below.

Please note that any Temporary Outdoor Dining Permits issued to restaurants last year are still good as long as you have not changed your outdoor seating arrangements. If you have made changes, please submit a new permit.

Restaurant Revitalization Fund Update
The SBA began accepting applications for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) on Monday, May 3. 

In the first two days of the RRF application window, the SBA has received: 

  • 186,200 applications from restaurants, bars, and other eligible businesses in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and five U.S. Territories. 
  • 97,600 applications of which came from restaurants, bars, and other eligible businesses owned and controlled by women (46,400), veterans (4,200), socially and economically disadvantaged individuals (30,800), or some combination of the three (16,200). 
  • 61,700 applications from businesses with under $500,000 in annual pre-pandemic revenue, representing some of the smallest restaurants and bars in America.

The Mokena Chamber participated in the Silver Cross Groundbreaking Ceremony
On Friday, May 7 Silver Cross Hospital broke ground on the 20,000 square-foot outpatient/urgent care facility being constructed in Mokena on Route 30 and Owens Road. The center is scheduled to open in September.

U.S. Chamber of Commerce Global Forum on Economic Recovery

Next week, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will host the inaugural Global Forum on Economic Recovery on May 18 and 19, 2021, featuring a line-up of leaders across the public and private sectors. We are pleased to announce that Bill Gates, Co-chair and Trustee of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, will join the Chamber's President and CEO Suzanne Clark for a wide-ranging discussion.
 
Gates will discuss lessons learned on pandemic response and health system resiliency, the role of technology in addressing climate change and energy challenges, and the importance of work to promote an inclusive recovery both in the United States and around the globe.

As a member of the Mokena Chamber of Commerce you can be one of the first businesses to welcome new residents to Mokena!

When new residents set up their utilities account at Village Hall, they are given a card to bring to the Chamber Office to redeem for a Welcome Swag Bag of free gifts, including promotional items and coupons from Chamber member businesses, along with information about the community.

To participate in the Welcome to Mokena program, we just ask that you provide a promotional item for the Welcome Bag, and/or a coupon for your business.
