FCC, County partner to educate public on Emergency Broadband Benefit
New Castle County and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are working to help build consumer awareness about the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a new FCC program. The temporary benefit will help lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. Delaware Library Association recognizes County Executive
The Delaware Library Association has recognized County Executive Matt Meyer with the 2021 Distinguished Service Citation, which recognizes an individual who is a library supporter who has been active in supporting library development services in Delaware. County marks end of Ramadan with multi-faith Iftar dinner
New Castle County hosted a virtual Iftar Dinner on Tuesday evening. The event was broadcasted live through New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer's official Facebook page and shared to the New Castle County Government Facebook page. Participants of diverse faith backgrounds joined together to share a meal and learn about Islam and the Ramadan holiday season. To see a video of the event, CLICK HERE.
Pop-up COVID-19 testing sites continue next week
New Castle County will continue offering regular pop-up testing sites across the county, in addition to regular testing sites operated by the State of Delaware. Any resident can get tested regardless of symptoms and tests are free, quick, easy and painless. Results are usually returned in 24-48 hours.
