Our Big Give Fundraising Drive runs through November 19th. Yellow envelopes went home with your student. Please have your student return their envelope and pledge form to their teacher, with or without donation. The classroom with the most envelopes returned will win a prize!

Bedtime Stories with Sra. Brody is back for 2021-2022!


Puesta del Sol PTA is please to bring back this popular online event with our beloved Librarian Sra. Brody!

Time to get in your favorite pajamas, grab a cup of cocoa, and sit back and relax as Sra. Brody reads bedtime stories to our Puesta del Sol families.

Some changes for 2021:
We appreciate our family feedback and have revised the time to 6:00pm. We also will be meeting earlier in the week instead of Thursdays.

Calling for Volunteers for the Educational Enhancement Committee

We still have open positions to coordinate Educational Enhancement programs: Academic Challenge, After School Programs, International Spanish Academy (ISA), 5th Grade Math Olympiad, Reflections, Spanish Immersion Through the Arts (SITA), and more.

These are great opportunities to enrich our students' experience!

Note that the Flamenco teacher already contacted us about running classes, but we need a volunteer to help coordinate. We will not be able to run the programs for which we do not have volunteers. Do you have the skills to translate material for the PTA into Spanish?

Our goal is to message in both Spanish and English on as many pieces of communication as possible.

We encourage you to talk about, learn, and explore Indigenous Native American history and culture on your own and engage with these rich local resources.

1. Visit the Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture (Seattle)

3. Take a hike and make a pledge of protection in the Snoqualmie Lands

4. Read this month's school-wide text, We are Grateful: Otsaliheliga by Traci Sorell, or check out books about Native American heritage from the KCLS library
