Congratulations to these individuals at Dade County High School for demonstrating RESPONSIBILITY and RESPECT, the character words for August and September! They recently received their certificates and enjoyed nachos.
KATY VAUGHN RECEIVES GOLDEN APPLE AWARD
Davis Elementary's Ms. Katy Vaughn recently received the Golden Apple Award sponsored by Food City and WDEF NEWS 12 Now. To see the video of Ms. Katy receiving the surprise visit, click HERE. Congratulations to Ms. Katy! WELL DESERVED!
DCHS MARCHING WOLVERINES ARE EXCELLENT
Over the weekend, the Dade County Marching Wolverines traveled to the Tree City Marching Festival in McMinnville, TN. The DCHS band and percussion received ratings of EXCELLENT and the color-guard and drum major received ratings of SUPERIOR! Drum Major, Emily Barger tied the highest score of the day with an AMAZING 98%! Congratulations to Ms. Emily and to all of the DCHS Marching Wolverines!
DAVIS & DADE PTOs HOST FUNDRAISERS
Both Davis and Dade Elementary PTOs recently held fundraising events. At Davis Elementary, Principal Charity Barton and 5th-grade teacher Ashley Gibson both enjoyed playing with slime. (For more "slime-time" photos click HERE). At Dade Elementary, P.E. teachers Justin Page and Andy Williams were taped to the wall. (For more "duct tape" photos click HERE.). We would like to thank Ms. Barton, Ms. Gibson, Coach Page, and Coach Williams for their willingness to participate in these great events!
DES FALL FESTIVAL THIS SATURDAY
Dade Elementary School, in partnership with the DES PTO, will host its annual fall festival this Saturday, October 1st from 2:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. There will be food, fun, and games for children of all ages. For more information, please contact Dade Elementary School at 706-657-8253.

The Dade County Band program has kicked off its annual fruit sale with lots of new items this year. If you are interested, be sure to see a band student and/or parent or you may also place your order online at http://www.dcband.org/. The Dade County Band program genuinely appreciates your support.

The Dade County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting this evening at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Dade County Board of Education building located at 52 Tradition Lane Trenton, GA. 30752.
