  • One Sweeny employee: The employee was last on campus when considered contagious November 13.
  • Two RHS students: The first student was never on campus when considered contagious, and the second student was last at school when contagious on November 16.

At the direction of the Springfield-Greene County Health Department all students and employees who were exposed to the individuals who tested positive for COVID19 will be directed to self-isolate and quarantine. Those directly exposed will receive individual phone calls. Due to the increased number of positive cases and the number of administrators available across the district to make individual phone calls to those exposed, these calls are still in progress. Springfield-Greene County Health Department will be stepping in to assist the district with these calls. Therefore, if your student is a close contact to one of the positive cases, you will be contacted by either a school administrator or Springfield-Greene County Health Department employee.

As a reminder, exposure notifications will be distributed each evening (and at the completion of the weekend) that there is a positive case in our district. Also, we want to take this opportunity to remind our patrons about the rules we are required to follow per the CDC and Springfield-Greene County Health Department in regards to isolation and quarantine situations using the graphic below. In addition, details and example scenarios can be found on the CDC website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html.
Information in regards to the district's response to COVID19 (including a weekly case tracker) can be found at https://www.republicschools.org/healthupdates. Thank you for your support and flexibility as we navigate this time.
