Dear Arma Dei Community,

As Coloradans continue to transition to Safer At Home guidelines, we are actively planning opportunities for students, families, and teachers to connect and finish out the 2019/2020 academic year in community with one another. We are excited to announce that under the new guidelines, students will have an opportunity to individually come to the campus the week of May 11-15. The faculty are thoughtfully preparing a very special gift for each family which will be available for pick-up, along with yearbooks and summer reading and math materials. Details, including important safety protocols, and sign-up information will be sent to you in a separate communication later this week.

Our dedicated teachers continue to passionately pour themselves into preparing engaging and meaningful content through live classes and creatively executed teaching videos for each student. Additionally, we are hard at work planning unique and creative ways to honor our 8th-grade graduates. The current Safer at Home order ends on Tuesday, May 26, and we are actively preparing to convoke a graduation ceremony shortly thereafter. More information will be forthcoming, once we have clarity on when  Douglas County’s Phase 2 re-opening plan will go into effect.

We are eager to once again have our classrooms and hallways filled with the daily blessings of the love, laughter, and learning of the student community. To this end, we are steadfast in our commitment to pray, plan, and prepare for an on-campus start to the 2020/2021 academic year on August 17. The Board of Directors and Administrative team remains vigilant in exploring multiple contingencies as new information becomes available. Throughout the summer, we commit to openly communicating with you the status of these plans on the first day of every month. Updates will also be posted on the Arma Dei website on the Coronavirus Community Updates page.

Over the past 50 days we have all had to act with humility, adaptability, and fortitude; character traits we will all invariably need to continue to exercise as uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic remain. Please join us as we continue to earnestly seek the LORD, asking for His favor, and praying for healing for our community and nation. As we wait patiently, we will continue to “...run with endurance the race that is set before for us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-2 ESV).

In Christ,
Jen Wenger
