With thanksgiving and praise, but with necessary caution and care, we announce the re-opening of worship beginning the weekend of May 9-10. Christ the King will offer 4 worship services this weekend, in order to accommodate as many worshipers as possible while still maintaining a reasonable number and proper social distancing. The Sacrament of Holy Communion will be offered at each service.

The service times will be
Saturday, May 9 at 4:00pm
Sunday, May 10 at 7:00am, 8:30am, 11:00am

It is strongly recommended that you reserve a spot by clicking the button below.
You may also call the Church Office (901-682-8404) or email us (churchoffice@ctkmemphis.com).
We will attempt to limit each service to no
more than 120 people.
Please read these guidelines that we will follow to help keep you and our staff safe and healthy:

WORSHIP
  • If you are not feeling well, and especially if you are displaying COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and enjoy our 8:30AM service on live-feed.
  • We suggest that you print out a bulletin at home and bring it with you to worship, or bring your electronic device to access it from Friday Reminders, the App or website. We will have a limited number of print bulletins for those unable to do the above.
  • If you use a print bulletin, please take it with you when you exit and dispose of it at home. Do not leave bulletins in the sanctuary.
  • We encourage each person to wear a mask upon entering and during worship. All volunteer staff will be wearing masks.
  • Sanitize your hands as your enter the building.
  • Please practice social distancing when seated in the pews. Every other pew will be roped off.
  • We will provide plates in the back of the sanctuary for your offering, or you may continue to use our online giving.
  • The children are asked to remain in their pews during the Children’s Message.
  • You are asked not to linger after worship so we can sanitize for the next service. You may exit through the east parking lot door or either door to the side of the chancel.

COMMUNION
  • We will commune by individual cup only.
  • The Pastors and Elders will thoroughly wash their hands immediately prior to Communion and will wear masks during the Distribution.
  • The ushers will invite you to come forward pew by pew, and communicants will approach in a continuous line, practicing social distancing.
  • Communicants will not kneel but will move in a continuous line, with wafer and cup being placed in your hands by the Elder and Pastor.
  • Individual cups will be deposited in a basket at the end of each railing.

Please note:
  • The Church Nursery will not be open at this time. As restrictions ease, we will be updating our overall plan for eventually making the nursery available.
  • There will be no Adult Bible Class at this time. You are invited to access current sessions online through the website, CTK’s App, or CTK’s YouTube account.
  • Children’s Sunday School and Confirmation Class will continue online for the present time.

We pray that God continues to be with us as we seek to glorify His name, remembering the Sabbath day and keeping it holy. Please call either pastor with concerns or questions. Thank you.
