Message from Ms. Mangels
Parents,
We are currently working on a plan to get
students' belongings out of their lockers.

Because of social distancing, we are not able to open the building for students to go in to empty their lockers at this time.  Principals are working with district administration to devise a plan for this, and I will let parents know once that plan is figured out.

Please be patient as we work through the numerous "hurdles" that are ahead of us.  Stay healthy and safe.  I will keep you informed in the days and weeks ahead.

Also, Arena Scheduling for rising freshmen, the class of 2024 for school year 2020 - 2021 will be generated in-house for you, and available for viewing in Skyward starting the week of May 11.

Adopted Animals

I am sad that we will not be seeing each other again this school year.  I will miss my 8th graders and I look forward to seeing the 7th graders in the halls next year.

I am waiting on information from the district as to when we would be allowed back in the building for good.  That being said, our CMS animals will need a place to "vacation" during the summer months.  Once all information is received, I will be contacting everyone for some foster help over the summer months.

A HUGE thanks to EVERYONE who has one of our animals right now.  You are the BEST.

Operation #SAFEdragon

Governor Greg Abbott announced that he is amending his Executive Order calling now for all schools to remain closed in the state of Texas through the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

Despite the disappointing news that we cannot safely open our facilities for school the rest of 2019-2020, Carroll ISD will still continue online remote learning and meal delivery for qualifying students.
This means all Carroll ISD facilities will remain closed, and school events/activities are canceled through the end of May.

Operation #SAFEdragon (Safety Awareness For Every Dragon) is a multi-faceted response plan that affects all CISD facilities and departments. The program includes a number of intitiatives aimed at fortifying buildings, ensuring regular training, communication and increasing staff and public awareness.

The goals of the #SAFEdragon program are to improve safety and security within Carroll ISD and promote emergency preparedness among students and staff.

NOVEL (NEW) CORONAVIRUS & COVID-19 INFORMATION

We joined other north Texas school districts and the City of Southlake leaders in announcing efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.
