COVID-19 Update
Golf courses around San Diego county have begun to open back up with social distancing restrictions in place, so it appears that things are slowly, very slowly beginning to return to normal.

In other sports news, the PGA tour along with all of the other major sports leagues are still working out a date to safely restart, and there is word of a couple of special golf match events (without fans in attendance) which will be televised soon.

ESPN broadcasted the opening day game of the South Korea Professional Baseball season this week, also without fans present, but complete with cheerleaders waving pom poms! If you have run out of Master's Tournament reruns to watch, you might want to tune in and see how baseball is played in South Korea. (At least it's something, right?!)

Welcome to issue number 56 of Chip Shots

The Stadium Golf Center re-opened on Saturday May 2nd in a limited fashion according to City-mandated social distancing protocols. The facility is open for practice (hitting range balls only) however golf instruction is still prohibited.

Meanwhile, if you're out on the course or the practice tee hitting balls, and run into a problem with your swing, use your smartphone to get some video. Email the video, along with some words about what you're working on or what's going wrong to me. I'll have a look, and email you some hints and tips based on what I see.

I hope you are all healthy, and finding a way back out to the course to get in a round now that the courses are opening back up.  I'm looking forward to the day we can get together and get back to work on your game!

I'd love to hear from you, and check in. Please feel free to drop me a note or give a quick call to say hi.

Wishing you all my best,

Gary
