Haven Harbour Marina Yacht Services welcomes our newest mechanic, Harry Sesselberg.
Harry will be working closely with Christian Sunkler, one of our engine specialists, to learn the tricks of the trade.
"I couldn't have found a better marina to work," mentioned Harry. "Attending Washington College, I heard about you guys [Haven Harbour] through a friend and was urged to apply."
At 20 years old, Harry is taking advantage of a golden opportunity to learn career skills from some of the region's best.
"I've always been interested in older outboards, ever since I was a kid with my dad" said Harry. "But I'm more than excited to learn new things."
Life on the water is something that has always been a constant for Harry. His hometown of Fairfield, Conn. is situated on the state's Gold Coast. Combining his interest in outboards with the joys of living and working on the water, becoming a marine mechanic seemed the obvious next step.
In the age where a traditional college education is argued as the optimal route to a more successful future, it is rewarding to not only our operation but the industry as a whole to witness young people like Harry getting involved in trade careers.
