State of Arkansas  
 
Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced Arkansas has seen another 24-hour period where COVID-19 cases in the state have increased by more than 300. Since Monday's update by the governor, Arkansas has seen 340 more cases, increasing the state's total count to 10,080. 
 
Of the 10,080 positive cases, 3,444 are considered active. Of the active cases, 141 are in nursing homes, 139 are in correctional facilities and 2,764 are in the general community. Currently, 173 people are hospitalized due to the virus and 44 of them are on ventilators. There have been six more deaths reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 161 in the state. 
 
Hutchinson said that he will make an announcement tomorrow on the state entering Phase II of reopening. You can read about the phased reopening guidelines from the White House here.

A statewide map is available that shows national, state and county numbers in regards to COVID-19. As of June 9 at 2:30 p.m., the United States deaths attributed to COVID-19 are 110,925 You can view the Arkansas Department of Health's statewide interactive COVID-19 map here.     
 
Saline & Garland Counties 
Saline County recorded its second death on Tuesday. As of today, 150 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Saline County and 4,745 have tested negative. Of those testing positive, 109 have recovered. 
 
In Garland County, 150 people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 4,399 have tested negative. Of the people infected, 134 have recovered and one has died.

  • The Village Art Club has canceled their monthly meeting for June, July and August. Additionally, the Workshop scheduled Aug. 21 and 22 has been canceled.
