Nikki Blaine, Lawrence Central Class of 1993, is an Indianapolis fashion designer. If there's a gala or big event going on in Indianapolis, someone there is more than likely wearing a one-of-a-kind design from Nikki Blaine Couture. Nikki's journey into the world of fashion started in the fourth grade and continued as she created a fur coat in high school followed by prom dresses for her classmates. Learn more about Nikki.
Terrence Brown, Lawrence North Class of 1989, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1993 with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Terrence then served 10 years as an active duty Marine Corps pilot. In 2005, Terrence became an airline pilot for United Airlines and now works in the training department sharing his decades-long skills as a pilot to train others.
Tiara Thomas, Lawrence North Class of 2008, won a Grammy at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards, this year. Tiara picked up a Record of the Year Grammy for co-writing "I Can't Breathe" with H.E.R. Tiara is also nominated for the Best Original Song Academy Award for co-writing "Fight for You" which is featured in Judas and the Black Messiah.
Dominique (Green) Moon, Lawrence North Class of 2011, is an actress, writer, and director. Dominique started her acting career in church and went on to do several plays and musicals throughout high school and into college. Dominique is best known for her role as Vanessa in Season 2 of Showtime's The Chi. Dominique recently wrapped a film she produced entitled The Price of Comedy and is currently writing her very first feature film.
Wildcats Heading to State
The Cardiac Cats advanced to the Class 4A state title game after defeating Bloomington South 54-52 on Saturday, March 20. The Wildcats will face No.2 Carmel (25-2) in the 4A state finals on April 3 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Lawrence North has not been to the state finals since the run of three consecutive 4A championships by the teams led by Greg Oden and Mike Conley Jr. Good luck Wildcats!
LTSF Virtual Celebration
The LTSF 2021 Virtual Celebration went LIVE from Lawrence on Friday, March 12. Special guests included Ted Corman, Lawrence Central Class of 1990, Ty Gerig, Lawrence Central Class of 1990, Andrew McCarthy, Lawrence Central Class of 2010, and Kyle Harris, Lawrence North Class of 2017. Beautiful Soul Inc. Networking Event
Brittany Slack, Lawrence Central Class of 2018, is the CEO and Founder of Beautiful Soul Inc. This organization will be holding a virtual networking event on April 10, 2021. Taylor Williams, Lawrence North Class of 2015, is a featured panelist who will talk about resume building and crafting your resume. This event is free and there will be gift card giveaways. This would allow LC to show current LC students the endless possibilities post-high school has to offer and also help with continuing to promote Lawrence Central as a school of choice.
