Mark your calendars! Episode 2 of SLICED is coming!

In Episode 2 of SLICED, Daly City Recreation Services' chefs from Episode 1 return to the kitchen with a twist! Each will be participating in an appetizer, entree, and dessert round — all of which contain “secret ingredients” that must be incorporated in their dishes.

Who do you think will be crowned SLICED Champion? Reigning champion and Doelger Cafe Chef Opal Fuller or culinary wizards Brian Flowers, Angelo Ignacio or David Zetzer? Join us on Wednesday, November 25th at 7:00PM to find out!

MEET OUR PARTNERS

Human Investment Project Housing
(HIP Housing)
Kate Comfort Harr : Executive Director

HIP Housing has been a faithful partner of the City of Daly City for several years. Each year, HIP Housing helps 1,400 people find housing or keep their homes through the Home Sharing and Self Sufficiency Programs as well as through the housing units they own and manage. “We’ve been honing our models since 1972 and…have integrated our programs like no other to ensure that everyone who walks through our door has the greatest possibility of finding housing they can afford,” says Kate Comfort Harr.

HIP Housing is a non-profit organization based in San Mateo, CA that specializes in affordable and creative housing solutions in San Mateo County. HIP Housing's Home Sharing Program can make renting a room in your home or finding a tenant for your second unit a safe and comfortable process. The program is a free service to help homeowners or renters with extra space or a second unit find a housemate who lives, works, or attends school in San Mateo County. Home Sharing coordinators interview and screen applicants, conduct background searches, develop a “Living Together Agreement,” and provide on-going follow-up support.
People home share for a variety of reasons including to share housing costs, earn extra income, get help at home, for companionship, and to help out their neighbors. Home sharing makes more efficient use of existing housing stock and benefits our whole community. Your spare room can change a life, rent it with HIP Housing!
