The Library is Open!
Right now, the Library is open for you to browse, borrow, and enjoy it's wonderful collection.

To implement state and federal guidelines, and support the Library’s COVID-19 Best Practices Policy, only a limited number of patrons can access the Library at a time. Here's How it Works.

When visiting the Library, remember, If you are two and older, you must wear a face mask at all times and observe social distancing. Adhere to the Library’s COVID-19 Best Practices Policy and follow the directions of Library staff. If you aren’t feeling well, please stay home.

The Library has taken many steps to modify the Library facility in response to evolving best practices and has introduced a rigorous cleaning program, and will reserve times throughout the day to close and clean.

The Library is no longer offering Curbside Pickup. Instead, they have implemented the holds system, which means you can borrow material from other libraries

The Library looks forward to gradually reintroducing services over the weeks ahead

DO YOUR PART, BE WP SMART

SOCIAL DISTANCE & WEAR A FACE MASK
The best way to prevent COVID-19 is to continue social distancing (staying at least 6 feet away from others), even when wearing a mask.

Masks are an essential tool we have to slow the spread of the Novel Coronavirus. To properly wear a mask, the mask should cover your nose and mouth snugly and be secured by ear loops.

Clean your hands before taking off your mask. Remove your mask by the straps. Disposable paper face masks should be used for one outing outside the home. Once removed wash your hands again. If you need a mask email maskwp@whiteplainsny.gov

Be Prepared for Severe Weather
Extreme weather events occur regularly in the summer months. Remember to Stay Cool, Stay Hydrated when the temperatures soar and be prepared for storm season. Click here for helpful tips on preparing for severe weather.

And remember, your preparedness efforts may need to be modified somewhat as a result of COVID-19. Taking the time now to prepare for severe weather events will pay off later.
