Help us Stock Up for Back To School!
We are approaching our peak season...back-to-school time! With about 5,000 more shoppers expected before year's end, we need your help to maintain our great selection and send every student home with the clothing they need to feel comfortable, confident and prepared to thrive.
While we can use anything listed in our Donation Guidelines, our most needed items are:

*Long- and short-sleeved shirts for ages 3-21 (4T/XS kids - 5XL adult). We tend to need sizes for elementary and middle school-aged students (kids sizes M, L and XL) the most.

*Warm winter coats, jackets and hoodies for ages 3-21 (kids size XS - adult).

*NEW underwear and socks for ages 3-21 (kids size 4T/XS - adult). Adult sizes should be appealing to teens.

*Jeans, pants and shorts for ages 3-21. Anything girls (4T - 18), boys (4T - 20), young women (00 - 26) and young men (especially waist size 27 - 36) is helpful. Athletic styles (basketball or running shorts/pants, joggers, yoga pants, etc.) are especially popular!

*Shoes that are in good condition and suitable for school. Popular styles include athletic shoes (tennis, basketball, running, skate, etc.), slip-ons (e.g., Vans), canvas (e.g., Converse or Toms), flats, boots (all types) and black uniform shoes. Our most needed sizes are for elementary school age children (kids size 10 - youth size 5).

*Larger adult sizes that are appealing to teens help us offer our older shoppers the best section possible. In the young women's section, we have an urgent need for pants (women's size 12-20, any style) as well as tops, jackets and hoodies (women's size L/XL and up). In the young men's section, we need athletic pants and shorts (all sizes up to men's 5XL).
Things we don't need:

*Professional/business clothing. Our shoppers are most in need of clothing for school.
*Baby and toddler clothing (size 3T and smaller). We serve ages 3-21 and do not need smaller sizes.
*Housewares. Our space is limited, and our sole focus is school clothing. Please donate these items elsewhere.
*Hangers. We have plenty, thank you!
*Anything that is dirty or has stains, holes or damage. Items should be clean and ready hang in our shop. If you wouldn't give it to a friend, please don't give it to us!

Our team is passionate about supporting fellow nonprofits in our community! Please email Katie Jadwin for ideas about where to donate items that Clothes To Kids cannot take.
**Hours Update**
We are accepting clothing donations on Thursdays (new day!), Fridays and Saturdays between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. To donate, gather your clean and ready-to-wear items. Check our updated Clothing & Shoe Donation page for ideas. Please sort items by category (girls, boys, young women, young men, shoes and extras) to save time at drop-off. Empty your donations into one of our rolling bins that will be located outside of our door, and take your bags with you to reuse.
A Thank You from a Grateful Grandma
Shopping for wardrobes with this sweet family was an absolute joy for all involved. We are grateful for the opportunity to help all six grandkids get full wardrobes for school!
Celebrating CTKD's Stellar Staff
Our terrific program associate, Maria Reyes, just celebrated her five-year work anniversary. Maria is most often found at our front desk welcoming families, fielding calls, scheduling appointments and assisting shoppers...plus lots of "other duties as assigned!" She has been a huge part of our organization's success, and we are so grateful for her hard work and dedication over the years. Thank you for being part of our team!
We are also pleased to introduce you to our new merchandising associate Veronica "Vero" Armas! Vero has many years of experience in the nonprofit sector and a passion for helping families in her community get connected with the resources they need. She will help coordinate incoming donations, supervise volunteers, track inventory levels, provide quality control and assist shoppers. Welcome, Vero!
Sharing the Love

This fabulous group of volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Southeast Metro Denver served in our shop last month. They sorted, hung clothing and left our boutique stocked and sparkling. We appreciate your hard work!

We were so grateful to receive this donation of more than 100 pairs of shoes from our new friends at Little Kickers Swim School. Special thanks to Jules for organizing the shoe drive and then delivering everything to our shop!

The Vans store in Cherry Creek Shopping Center just donated two more loads of wonderful items. Like every donation from Vans, each item went home with someone the same day it arrived!

A very generous anonymous donor has been donating new backpacks every week. So far they have donated more than 130...and counting! Our shoppers have been thrilled!

The Urban Angels held a very successful Undie 500, collecting 925 pairs of new socks and underwear, plus some great new shoes! Special thanks to the great group of teen volunteers from The Challenge Foundation for sorting and organizing this wonderful donation.

The Optimist Club of Windsor Gardens held a sock drive for us and invited one of our staff members to their monthly meeting to receive the donations. This was their first in-person meeting since before the pandemic started, so they were all really excited to get back together!

These fabulous youth volunteers from Camp Kind recently took CTKD by storm. These fast and furious workers sorted our entire mountain of donations from the previous weekend by lunch time...then headed out to their next volunteer gig!

When Yolanda* first immigrated to Denver, she visited us to shop for clothing for her son. She recently reconnected with us and shared that she has started her own nonprofit, Manos Emprendedoras ("entrepreneurial hands"), which provides work opportunities to immigrant women from around the world. She even brought beautiful bracelets to share with our shoppers! *Name changed for privacy.
