Weekly Chimes

Hello Old Donation!

Today, we've skipped over Fall and entered into Winter. It is cold and blustery out there, but still beautiful with the sun shining. Bundle up and take a short walk!

Things continue to be interesting around ODEC. Construction is ramping up once again, and the offices are now in total disarray as the front and side of the building will be receiving a new roof. Our Day School is continuing to operate as usual, despite VB City Public schools going virtual. Our precautions have proved effective, and we are continuing to provide this much-needed service to our families.

For the time being, our worship services will also continue as they have been. However, as COVID case numbers continue to rise in Virginia Beach, there is an increased likelihood that we will have to revert to live-streamed services in the near future. For now, continue to attend church however you feel most comfortable-in person or online. We will keep you informed on any developments as they happen!

Next week is Thanksgiving. November has gone by faster than any month yet. Please join us next Wednesday evening at 7pm for our Annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service, this year held via live-stream. On Thanksgiving morning at 10am we will have our Thanksgiving day service in the church, seating is first come (RSVP) first served. The RSVP link will go out on Monday.

That's all for now, my friends. Please, stay safe. Wear your masks. Social distance. Take care of yourselves, your families, and your neighbors.

Peace be with you!
