Beyond Monthly Yoga Tip
Breathe Easy Techniques:

  1. Sit or stand tall;
  2. Relax facial muscles;
  3. Feel like you're just about to smile;
  4. Give the breath space;
  5. When we inhale we think of a bird taking flight and feel the expansion;
  6. When we exhale we think of a bird taking perch and we welcome the natural calm the exhale provides; and
  7. Remain curious.
Fun facts about the lungs:
  1. The lungs are the only organs that float on water;
  2. The left lung is smaller to give space to the heart; and
  3. If the lungs were open flat they would be the size of tennis court.

Triple Bliss! Sound Bath-Yin-Yoga Nidra
with Cindy Garcia
The simple yin postures combined with Yoga Nidra stimulates physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Within this peaceful state the mind is free to explore different states of consciousness. Stimulating rejuvenation, increased inner strength, awakening creativity.

Cultivating Patience: Meditation Series
with Kimberly Mantas
The cultivation of patience infuses us with the ability of confidence and abilities to know that all is not permanent, and all is perhaps not what it seems. Equanimity is cultivated and we suffer less, and we create space to thrive.

During the session, we will explore the concepts of suffering, happiness and patience and we will rest, breathe, and meditate.
Everyone is welcome.

Time: 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Tai Chi
with Jürgen Portz
Tai Chi helps practitioners to feel and become more grounded, balanced and alive. In this 4-week series, attention will be given to proper posture, movement and flow as well as having the presence of mind to stay focused and centered. At the end of each class students will be led in a short standing Qigong meditation to help integrate the cultivated energy (prana or life force).

This course is suitable for both new and intermediate students.

Chair Yoga Teacher Training
with Alison Tait
This Chair Yoga teacher training will give you the training/certification and ability to teach a chair yoga sequence to seniors and those who might have some physical challenges, pre-existing medical conditions or those who might be recovering from an injury. Many of the principles can be translated to someone who sits at a desk all day or who is new to yoga and wants a more accessible practice.

Energetics of Restorative Yoga Teacher Training
with Kimberly Mantas
Do you want to get to the heart of the transformative restorative yoga practice and learn how to apply postures to empower and change one’s physical and emotional lived experience?

The Energetics of Restorative Yoga course unpacks the knowledge and the skills to apply this healing modality in support of robust health and mental and emotional harmony for you and others.

Calm Kids Yoga Teacher Training
with Laura Fowler-Massie
Play and learning is central to this training. With the use of games, songs, storytelling and an interactive learning environment participants will gain practical strategies specific to teaching yoga to young children.
In this children’s yoga training Laura marries play and learning together, while supporting participants with practical developmentally appropriate teaching techniques.
