Well, there we were, just tooling along on a little side trip to see some sites when we received a message that we needed to head back to Kansas City
tout de suite. Our pulses raced as we knew we needed to turn around, take the shortest route possible and. . .
Day 46: DETOUR! Back to Kansas City!
Our driver turned onto a short cut. He assured us he knew the shortest route. Through wooded areas, through tall grass, through streams flowing over the rough road. And, then we saw it. And we knew why we needed to be in such a hurry. . .

when we journeyed to Haiti and watched discarded metal drums being hand-chiseled into works of art? It was way, WAY back on Day 2 Can you believe it? Our new shipment includes 13 new sculptures, including some that are painted and a lovely, taller St. Francis figure.

Marushka tees. The new dolman tee is a wonderfully soft and lightweight poly/cotton blend perfect for these warm, summer days. Featuring a scoop neck and a loose sleeve that covers the upper arm, this tee has a nice relaxed fit.
The newest 3/4 sleeve tee in cheery fuchsia has 3 "Early Birds" looking for worms. With a flattering v-neck and a bit more arm coverage, this is our most popular Marushka tee style. Once again, shopping for these newest tees is so easy when you click on the picture above.

It's a strange sight to see boxes arriving at the back door of our store. Companies are opening back up and we are receiving new shipments almost every day. As we travel along on our journeys we will also want you - our esteemed traveling companions - to be the first to learn about new arrivals. There will likely be a few detours up ahead, but there will also be plenty more adventures around the world!
Our Brookside store is open today and will be open through Sunday. Our current hours are posted below my signature and we look forward to seeing you!
