Join Us in July!
Hello everyone,

We just never know how a day will begin (bear alert in the Cascades…) or end (one of our gorgeous sunsets) so it’s always wise to live our days to the fullest. July promises to be hot and dry--do you have a place to go if the temperature is too much for you? Are you in touch with at least two neighbors, one who might have a cooler house than yours? Or there’s always the library, the market or a cooling center if high heat is prolonged. Stay hydrated and in touch with family, friends, neighbors or the Town if you need assistance. Our monthly breakfast July 21, is in person now; as is Ross Valley Seniors, as parts of our pre-pandemic life return. Educational events this month include info on healthcare and affordable housing options. Hope to see you out and about this summer!

P.S. Chair Yoga in person at the Library is back! 1st & 3rd Thursdays, 10-11, see here for details.

Wednesday, July 28, 10:30-11:45am:

“Living Together: Options in Marin” Housing is one of our biggest challenges here in Marin so join us as we explore two creative and affordable ways to live in community: cohousing and shared housing. Whether you are single or in a couple, aging alone in your own home or apartment can be an isolating experience. There are many benefits, including social and financial to sharing a home or living in an intergenerational community of homes. Come hear from Charles Durrett (read the “Senior Cohousing Handbook,” in preparation if you can), author and architect of the Novato C Street Village Cohousing; and Karen Coppock, Senior Director, Home Match, at Covia, a Front Porch partner, for an informative and thought-provoking discussion.
