Oakland a Bay Area Leader in Paving Improvement

Image via: Michael Short/San Francisco Chronicle

We're paving the dang roads! Recent data shows that Oakland has second highest improved paving conditions over more than 100 Bay Area cities, bested only by Larkspur. We achieved it through Measure KK and we're grateful for all those who considered this new accelerated pace of delivering smoother and safer roads on the ballot this year as Measure U. Learn more:

Proclaiming Josh Johnson Day in Oakland

November 5 was officially Josh Johnson Day in the City of Oakland! An Oakland native, Tech graduate, NFL quarterback, community leader and founder of the Fam 1st Family Foundation, Josh’s commitment to Oakland has never wavered. And on the day he was being honored, Josh chose to recognize six others as Pillars of Oakland for their community work and support in his journey, which says everything about who is as a person and leader.
