Christian Education Highlight

We are very delighted to offer a brand new curriculum that will be available later this month to everyone in our church. We are beginning a study entitled “Follow Me: Biblical Practices for Faithful Living” We will be offering this curriculum in 4-week units that will allow families to study the same topics which will allow families to be able to apply those topics in daily life throughout the week. You are invited! Our current Christian Education opportunities are as follows:
Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 9am in the Harrington Parlor. Ken Sloan leads the adult Sunday School. Study materials will be provided for all participants.
Children’s Sunday School meets every Sunday morning during the worship hour, following the Children’s Sermon. Crystal Botha leads the children’s Sunday School, however we would love to have more volunteers to assist with leading the children of our church in their faith journey.
Middle & High School Youth Group meets every Sunday evening at 5:00 here at the church. Shannon Sloan leads our youth group. Volunteers are always welcome! We look forward to involving our youth in safely conducted outdoor activities, Bible study, and fun fellowship. In addition to the weekly youth group meetings, we also offer several opportunities for missional work and seasonal events.
If you have been away for the summer, or away from church for a season we want to welcome you back! Our church is open and we will never cease to praise the God who offers us grace and shows us how to love through the example of following Jesus. If you have any questions about our upcoming classes, please contact Crystal Botha, Director of Family Ministries Sunday – Thursday in the church office at 561-746-5161 ext. 105 or via email at crystal@tequestapres.org. We hope to see you soon and frequently. Together, we are the hands and feet of Christ in a world that desperately needs God’s love. Let us be a people who practice faithful living through actively studying and living out God’s will in our lives.
Minute for Missions

Our missions committee continues to thrive. Throughout the course of the last year we have navigated trying times, but God is faithful in all seasons. Here is an update on one of our local mission partners, the Edna Runner Tutorial Center in West Jupiter. We continue to provide gift cards for the Food for Families program supporting lower income families who need food assistance through the Center. Edna Runner is currently looking for volunteers who can assist with tutoring and community events for students as well as seniors. If you would like to learn more about this great opportunity, please see Crystal Botha in the church office for more information or talk to someone on our Missions Committee. Together we continue to be the hands and feet of Christ in our world.

Music this Week
Lynne Spotts joins us again this Sunday for a wonderful solo, The Lord is My Light. She will also be leading us in a hymn well know to many Presbyterian congregations, but not sung by our congregation in over 10 years. Awake My Soul is set to the tune, Morning Hymn. It’s short, sweet and we will learn it this Sunday. Lynne will sing it for us and then we, as a congregation will join her for one verse. Please remain at the end of the service during the postlude, to enjoy a fun gospel song, Sunshine in My Soul!
