So much of our work depends on successful partnerships with the community and municipalities. We have partnered with the Township of Howell to further our shared land preservation goals for decades and the relationship continues to be a success. We recently closed on the former Van Schoick property in Howell that expands Bear Swamp Natural Area. Additionally, we continue to work on several other park projects in the township. Stay tuned for more good news in the months to come.

MCF and Howell Township Expand Bear Swamp Natural Area

MCF has just announced the successful expansion of Bear Swamp Natural Area in Howell Township. The park addition will bring more protected land to a critical wildlife area and more trails for you to explore.

Big Changes Proposed at Fort Hancock on Sandy Hook

Please read the recent article in the Two River Times about a proposal to allow 90-plus apartment units, a gas station and bodega to historic Fort Hancock on Sandy Hook. MCF encourages residents to stay informed about this important issue that will impact this historic area of the Gateway National Recreation Area.

Holiday Style Shopping Opens Today!

Today at noon MCF kicked off our annual Holiday Style Shopping Spree event. This year we are offering a virtual format. Shopping will continue through December 11th and 20% of sales proceeds will be donated back to MCF.
