Isola rolled out its arsenal of RF/Microwave products to an enthusiastic crowd of fabricators and OEMs during Microwave Week in Boston, June 4-6.
By all accounts it was the most successful IMS show for Isola as they showcased five breakthrough products for the market:
I-Tera® MT40, Astra® MT77, TerraGreen®, IS680, and
IS680AG.
Isola focused on product value propositions when using RF/MW materials -
flexibility of design, flexibility of lead time, flexibility of performance, and
flexibility of cost.

DuPont™ Intexar™: Creating Flexible Wearable Printed Electronics for the Present Day
Today’s society has it challenges, in every walk of life. We often seek to provide solutions for these challenges that will improve our lives on a regular basis.
One key area of concern is real-time continuous diagnostics. How can we improve upon the process of monitoring and relaying our physiological data to improve our well being? There is now a way, through groundbreaking technology that allows us to capture our heart rate, or our blood sugar, even monitoring the contents of our perspiration to notify others of our condition!
This is the reason the Intexar™ technology was developed. DuPont has developed a robust system of products used to print circuitry that can be easily transferred to garments and provide information about the individual wearing that garment.
The Intexar™ product line was designed to capitalize on existing screen-printing processes, combined with heat transfer processes that can be easily incorporated into garments. This allows manufacturers to use existing equipment and methods to create state of the art garments that can be used in a variety of markets, such as medical, athletics, military and consumer applications.
The industry leading performance allows the garment to stretch greater than 40% with minimal change in overall resistance and return to its original state for multiple cycles. The products are also designed to withstand more than 50 wash cycles without any significant impact to the performance of the printed circuit! The comfort and appearance are also key to this system. The thickness of the print and the way in which the transferred circuitry conforms to the wearer allows the garment to function without any discomfort to the user.
This can revolutionize the quality and urgency of the information we transmit to our health care providers. This can minimize office visits, provide a way to check for blood clotting or the effects of diabetic neuropathy through pressure monitoring stockings. These are just a few examples that mark the beginning for a new age of physiological monitoring that can detect the early onset of numerous health issues, providing information that will allow treatment, permanent serious damage, preserving individual’s way of life, while significantly reducing health care costs!

Riston® DI3000 & Riston® DI9200:
New DuPont Dry Film Photoresist Products
DuPont has introduced two new broad-spectrum direct image Dry Film photoresist products this year, Riston® DI3000 series for Outer layer processing, and the Riston® DI9200 series for Inner layer processing. The DI3000 series has excellent adhesion even on small donut pads and has performed very well in gold plating.
The DI9200 series has produced excellent yield improvement results on very challenging technology for several demanding fabricators, due to benefits with strong adhesion on shiny copper, improved resolution capability, superior conformation performance, and excellent adhesion in challenging alkaline etch conditions.
DuPont continues to innovate by developing materials that address the PCB fabricator’s most critical needs.
You’re going to love these films, call me to request a film sample.
