REV. FLORENCE CAPLOW & REV. SALLY FRITSCHE
After a long, hard, isolated year, this Easter we see glimmerings of renewal: the daffodils blooming in front yards, the first hugs between grandchildren and grandparents, the first tentative forays from our households. In this service, we will celebrate this renewal, in the natural world and in our lives. The UUCUC Virtual Choir will be singing. If you have spring photos to share, or signs of renewal you are grateful for, please send them to sunday-services-materials@uucuc.org.

REV. LYNNDA WHITE & REV. FLORENCE CAPLOW
Are we so fragile that our loyalty is lost when we find out that someone we have respected or idolized has made mistakes? Why is it nearly impossible for us to accept that someone we have disliked, even despised, is capable of humanity? How much of our UU First Principle (“the inherent worth and dignity of every person…”) do we really believe and practice?
Reverend Lynnda White recently retired from her position as Associate Minister of the UU Church of Peoria, Illinois. She is a member of InterNátional Initiative for Transformative Collaboration (INITC), a council of Original Peoples, People of Color, and other Indigenous Peoples. INITC has worked with the UUA regarding colonialism and the environment.

REV. YADENEE HAILU
When you imagine pathways to personal, social and ecological healing and regeneration, what do you see? Who is with you on your journey? What transforms and gives way to new beginnings? Who and/or what are you accountable to along the way? Join UU Ministry for Earth and The Reverend Yadenee Hailu for a special Earth Sunday worship service exploring these questions in a collective journey on the pathways to healing and regeneration. Rev. Florence Caplow from our church will offer the Call to Worship.

Please consider donating to the Little Free Pantries run by Julie Laut and AJ Herzog, which they have kept active daily since late spring. In order to address increased and unique needs this winter, they have created an Amazon wish list. All items will be delivered to Julie's house and shared between the two pantries. Donations of all items will continue to be accepted as usual at both locations, if you want to bring them in person.
Thank you for your support and generosity ~ Julie and AJ

From Kathleen Holden: David Prochaska is in the Meadowbrook rehabilitation unit, after a short stay at Carle. He unexpectedly developed serious back issues three weeks ago. We’re fortunate to have access to resources that will help him heal.
From Jerry Carden & Tim Temple: We ask for healing thoughts and prayers for friends Gretchen and Jeff as they both face significant health challenges that require them to live apart, Jeff is now in assisted living at Bickford Cottages, Gretchen is moving to Boston this week to live with her daughter. Also, a candle of sorrow in memory of our friend and fellow UU, Olive Clark, who passed away in her sleep Tuesday night. Olive turned 100 last July. A life well lived!
From Sandy & Jim Hannum: David Prochaska has been diagnosed with a compression fracture and stenosis and has been admitted to Meadowbrook for treatment. He has been in a lot of pain, and now Kathleen is unable to visit because a staff member tested positive for COVID. We hope David's recovery goes well and that his family can visit him soon!
We wish Rev Florence well as she deals with her new health issue. Sending healing thoughts and love, and gentle reminders to not do too much!
From Julie Laut: Please keep my best friend and sister-of-the-heart, Meliah, in your thoughts as she receives a stem cell transplant in Oregon this week.
Please send your joys or sorrows to joysandsorrows@uucuc.org any time before the Joys and Sorrows portion of the service. They will be read aloud.
