Golf Carts in the Community of Firethorne

According to our Constable Chad Norvell, Fort Bend County Pct #1, while Golf Carts are allowed in the Community of Firethorne, Constable Norvell reminds us:

  1. Golf carts and off highway vehicles traveling at the speed of not more than 25 mph are required to display slow moving vehicle emblem.
  2. All traffic laws pertaining to the movement and operation of regular motor vehicles apply and must be obeyed while operating a golf cart or off-highway vehicle in a public roadway. Drivers must have a drivers license. They are legal on the roadway only.

We also remind our Firethorne Community Neighbors that Golf Carts are not allowed on sidewalks, drainage ways, sports fields, detention ponds or any other property that is part of either the Firethorne HOA or Fort Bend County MUD #151. Golf Carts, motorcycles, ATVs or any other motorized vehicle should only be driven on streets in Firethorne.

Your Firethorne Board of Directors encourages you to properly display proper signage on your cart and obey all Traffic Laws. We always strive to keep Firethorne a safe place for our residents.

  • Basketball Goals cannot be in the street, this includes culs-de-sac.

  • Please do not tape flyers to any poles or mailboxes throughout the neighborhood.

  • Yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. Please stay alert and free of distractions while driving.

  • Parking by the mailboxes is for short term parking ONLY while you are picking up your mail. Do not park in these areas overnight.

  • Trash Cans MUST be out of view from the street. Do not leave cans at the curb when it is not a trash pick up day (Wednesday/Saturday).

  • If you have books to donate to the Little Free Library by the main playgroup you may drop them off at the HOA Management Office.

  • Check around the exterior siding of your home for any mildew and address any problem areas.

  • Fence height may not exceed 6ft 6in. Any fence facing the street, drainage areas or any other common areas must remain at 6ft. Click here for more info.
