Korthase Flinn Acquires Traverse City Agency

Northern Michigan Insurance Firm Further Expands in Traverse City

KorthaseFlinn Insurance and Financial Services (www.korthaseflinn.com) announced today that it has acquired the Traverse City business of the Lake Michigan Insurance Agency (LMIA). The transaction marks the company’s fifth acquisition in four years and the second in the Traverse City market.
According to Randy Flinn, President of KorthaseFlinn, the decision to expand in this manner made perfect sense. “This was an opportunity to bring an additional 1,500 relationships into the KorthaseFlinn family, as well as Personal Insurance Advisor, Amy D’Archangel, who has been managing these accounts for LMIA for several years. Amy is an exceptional customer advocate and her Northern Michigan values and work ethic are consistent with those of the clients we serve and her new colleagues at KorthaseFlinn.”
The LMIA Acquisition represents the latest in a series of KorthaseFlinn investments in the Traverse City community. In 2019, the firm acquired the Tompkins Agency and moved into their new office at 502 Railroad Avenue. With this latest investment, KorthaseFlinn will serve over 2,000 area families and businesses from their Traverse City location.

About KorthaseFlinn Insurance

Effective August 5, 2021, all of the Charlevoix County Senior Centers will be closed to the public through September 2, 2021 but we will be providing curbside pick-up and home delivered meals from all centers. We are just going back to the way we provided all of our services before July 1, 2021.
The only activities/services we are allowing in the Senior Centers will be Gym walking by reservation and Foot Clinics. Staff and seniors must wear a mask at those times.
If you are sick, please do not come to the senior center and get tested. You can still get COVID if you are vaccinated but the illness it presents is less severe. We encourage you to get vaccinated if you have not already.
Our BI Office will be open by appointment only and masks will be required.
Volunteer services will be suspended at this time until the numbers get to a safer level.
