Greetings Tutors!

We are elated to announce that we are resuming our professional development opportunities for tutors using ZOOM! There are four virtual events scheduled in August. Read below for more details.

Virtual Peer Tutor Mentor Meetings
 
What:  Tutors share and learn from each other. These facilitated sessions allow tutors to meet together to share new ideas, methods, materials, techniques, and concerns on a monthly basis.
When:
  • Tuesday, August 11 | 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
  • Wednesday, August 12 | 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

RSVP:  A reservation is required to attend. Each session will be limited to a maximum of 20 participants. If you would like to participate in one of the sessions, please reply to Carol Garcia  with your preference. You will receive a confirmation of your reservation with a ZOOM link to the session.

Virtual In-Service Workshops
 
We have designed two in-service workshops to help tutors unfamiliar with using ZOOM or WhatsApp get up and running for virtual tutoring. Using the ZOOM platform, a step-by-step presentation will be given on what the application is, how to get it on your device, and its basic features.

ZOOM 101
  • When: Monday, August 17 | 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
 
WhatsApp 101
  • When: Thursday, August 20 | 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
 
RSVP:  A reservation is required to attend. Each session will be limited to a maximum of 15 participants. Choose one of the platform workshops you would like to attend, and please reply to Carol Garcia  with your preference. You will receive a confirmation of your reservation with a ZOOM link to the session.

Both sessions will be recorded and will be available to all tutors for viewing following the presentations.
