The Arlington Chamber of Commerce recognized outstanding community businesses at the prestigious 35th Annual Best Business Awards held on May 19, 2021 in a hybrid format. The Chamber received 29 submissions across 6 categories this year, ensuring a highly competitive selection process.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) was established after the 1973 oil crisis to maintain stability in the oil market. Historically, the IEA has favored incremental changes in response to the climate crisis. In its most recent report, however, the IEA called for an immediate ban on all new fossil fuel development, a move that would completely transform the energy market and help countries meet Paris Agreement goals. Such a shift, however, would have to be accompanied with massive investments in renewables, four times the level of investment in 2020.

A common critique of wind turbines is that the blades are impossible to recycle and must be landfilled after their 20 year lifespan.
That, however, is about to change. Vestas, that holds 18% of the world's wind power market share, has committed to creating 100% recyclable wind turbine blades with the goal of becoming zero waste by 2040. The company hopes to recycle 50% of the blade material in just a few years and hopes to set a standard for future turbines
