There is another special session underway which means we will be restarting our weekly election integrity calls. Our regular guests Reps. Jacey Jetton and Stephanie Klick will again be joining Sen. Bryan Hughes to provide us weekly updates on activities in their respective chambers. As our regular participants know these election integrity calls are great sources of information and listeners always get the inside scoop!
Speaking of the inside scoop, we are going to be joined by special guest Donna Davidson to discuss the theatrics this week in the Senate. Not to be outdone in performance art by House Democrats, Senate Democrats got real excited about Sen. Carol Alvarado "filibustering" Election Reform legislation. Sen. Alvarado fell slightly short of holding the floor for the rest of the month and instead was finished speaking after 15 hrs. After the long speech the Senate promptly passed SB 1 to strengthen election integrity. Donna breaks it all down for us this week and answers your questions about filibusters in the Texas Senate. Breitbart Exclusive: GOP Stands Up ‘Permanent’ ‘Election Integrity Operations’ Nationwide

Speaking exclusively with Breitbart News, RNC Chief Counsel Justin Riemer outlined the committee’s efforts across the nation to protect voter integrity. Riemer spoke to how Republicans are fighting and winning when it comes to election integrity and how the GOP is engaged in three areas to protect the ballot box:
“The first is what we’re doing in the courts and litigating,” Riemer said. “The second is our operational organization out in the field to send teams into the states and the third is the more communications and efficacy efforts we’ve made at the state level and pushing back on HR1 and the congressional overreach.”
Breitbart News reported the RNC spent more than $30 million in 2020 in dozens of lawsuits — 59 in particular last year — but is expanding and bolstering that legal strategy now heading into the 2022 midterms and eventually the 2024 presidential cycle. |

“I think it’s really important — it does play into the legal stuff for sure,” Riemer said. “One of the things a state can say when it’s defending its laws that are under attack is that the law promotes the confidence of the election and a court thinks that is important. The Supreme Court has basically said that a state trying to protect its voters’ confidence in the election is really important. Knowing how popular these laws are makes it a lot harder for the courts to attack them and strike them down. It’s nice knowing the public is on your side. We have the wind at our sails here and I think you’re seeing examples of it changing policy. You’re seeing Stacey Abrams suddenly saying she is for voter ID and James Clyburn saying he is for voter ID and Governor Wolf in Pennsylvania doing this remarkable turnabout where he says voter ID is not so bad. It’s remarkable. Rarely do you see people flip-flop like this on policy so it’s working.”
Overall, Riemer said the message he wants GOP voters across America to hear is that Republicans hear them loud and clear on election integrity matters, and the RNC is fighting back – making it easier to vote and harder to cheat.
“We’re fighting and we’re winning,” Riemer said. “We wake up every day and it’s the first thing we think about. That’s the bottom line — and we’re going to keep winning. We’re in the right here and we’re looking forward to bragging about it when we do.”

Democrats’ $3.5 Trillion Reckless

The Democrats’ wasteful tax-and-spending spree proves Joe Biden is nothing more than a puppet of the radical socialists in his party – this is not a moderate bill, and anyone claiming it’s moderate is not telling the truth.
- It’s revealing that those who are cheering this bill are the most liberal politicians in America:

Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, who was as an architect of this plan in his role as Senate Budget Chairman, applauded the level of reckless spending.

Sen. Ed Markey bragged that “the Green New Deal is in the DNA" of the spending spree.
-
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called it an “enormous progressive victory.”
-
$3.5 trillion is the equivalent of $27,000 in new spending for every single household in America.

But the real cost of Democrats’ tax-and-spend spree is even higher, up to $5.5 trillion, with Democrats using a budget gimmick to mask the true price of their spending.
- The result will be higher inflation and inevitable tax hikes for hardworking Americans.

Economists are warning: July’s wage gains were “completely erased by” higher prices, which are rising at the fastest rate since 2008.

Consumer prices just rose 5.4% in July. The last thing the American people need is even more inflation.
- Democrats’ reckless tax-and-spend spree would:
- Lead to runaway inflation, causing price increases on everyday goods for all Americans.
- Create the largest expansion of welfare benefits since the 1960s.
- Extend Obamacare subsidies that were included in the $1.9 trillion stimulus.

Includes chunks of the Green New Deal, particularly the “clean electricity standard,” which is essentially a green energy quota, forcing utilities to reduce fossil fuel usage or face fines.
- Provide amnesty for illegal immigrants even during the middle of a border crisis.
- Would require trillions in new tax hikes to pay for this wasteful spending
- The plan also includes the PRO Act, which gives power to union bosses, hurts workers, and cost businesses $47 billion every year.

Biden's Border Crisis is Out of Control
Border officials are warning: “we’ve surrendered the border.” They say the crisis is “not seasonal” as Joe Biden attempts to claim, and that they “all feel abandoned.” In July, when the border crisis was supposed to wane, illegal migrant encounters instead reportedly hit a new 21-year high, and unaccompanied children encounters hit an all-time high. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are miserably failing the American people - this is a border crisis of their making.
What you need to know:

U.S. border officials encountered about 210,000 illegal migrants at the border in July according to preliminary estimates – a shocking surge that sets a new 21-year record.
- The statistics also show over 19,000 encounters with unaccompanied children in July – a new all-time record.
- As record after record is broken on the border, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are cluelessly out of touch about the crisis they created.
- Border Patrol facilities are struggling to contain the record influx of illegal migrants.

Journalists are reporting “the largest group of migrants we’ve ever seen” at a holding area in Mission, TX, a claim backed up by this drone video.

As Biden pushes mask mandates and government-enacted vaccine passports, his administration is literally releasing COVID-positive illegal immigrants into local communities.
The bottom line:
The longer Joe Biden and Kamala Harris ignore this crisis they created, the worse it will become. Rep. Henry Cuellar, a Democrat Congressman who represents a Texas border district, called out the Biden administration’s failures: “Our DHS agents, and border communities, are overwhelmed and must be prioritized … something has to change!” He’s right – Biden should heed his warning.
Democrats’ COVID-19 Failures
Joe Biden and Democrats are welcoming new draconian mandates and lockdowns – they even won’t commit for schools to open for full, in-person education in the fall. Democrat hypocrisy knows no bounds – the American people won’t stand for it.
What you need to know:
- Biden is pursuing big government COVID-19 policies.

Despite their heavy-handed approach, Democrats can’t even follow their own rules. Biden, members of his administration, and Nancy Pelosi have already broken their own mask mandates several times.
- Democrats are attempting to blame Republicans for vaccine hesitancy. But it was Democrats, not Republicans, who have repeatedly sowed doubt in the vaccine.

Joe Biden questioned whether a vaccine would be “real.”
- Joe Biden isn’t alone: Democrat governors also undermined vaccine confidence.
- Congressional Democrats also questioned the safety of the vaccines.
The bottom line:
Democrats and Joe Biden aren’t guided by “the science,” they are guided by maximizing big government’s control over your everyday life. For political reasons, they spread doubt about the safe and effective vaccines which have now been received by over 193 million Americans, and now they are trying to blame Republicans for it. The American people see through their partisan distortions.
Biden’s Economy is Failing the American People
The reality of the economy is not what Democrats and many in the mainstream media are claiming it is. Far too many Americans are still unemployed, and any economic progress made is in spite of Joe Biden’s policies, not because of them.
What you need to know:
- As American workers and businesses are still struggling to recover, families are facing rising prices for everyday goods.
- Small businesses are struggling to hire and re-open while workers are struggling to get their jobs back.

5.7 million, or 25%, of the jobs lost since the coronavirus pandemic began have still not been recovered
- Republican governors are leading the way and ending Biden and Democrats’ policy of paying Americans more not to work.
The bottom line:
At a time when businesses are reopening and workers are getting their jobs back, Biden is threatening to smother the recovery, saying he’s open to more restrictions and bringing back lockdowns. To make matters worse, Biden and his party also want to usher in trillions in new reckless tax hikes and trillions more in new spending. Now is not the time for Biden and Democrats’ disastrous economic policies.
