Emmy Walden Fox has loved photography since she saw her first print magically appear in the darkroom. She spent 10 years at an art and nature center in Massachusetts, coordinating photography workshops plus photographing events and classes.
Her children are her greatest inspiration with their purity, silliness and take on things. Emmy hopes that her images evoke emotion and a dreamlike timeless feel to them.
Exhibit runs February 15 - March 31.

The NWPL Board of Trustees meets on the third Monday of each month at 5:15 p.m.
(The Library is closed on Presidents Day, so meeting is being held Monday, Feb 26 instead.) Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend these open public meetings. A time for public comments is included in each meeting.

Stitch by Stitch - A Memoir
Jane Hooper has published a story of her life that stretches from Pennsylvania and Michigan to New Hampshire and Maine. She delves into the intricacies of family politics and reaches some hard-won conclusions.
Her being an artist with fabrics and a talented quilter is pertinent to what she's achieved in print. As she writes in her book's introduction, "My memoir consists of stories of my experiences...all stitched together to make a whole."
This public reading from the work itself and a reception with refreshments to follow will celebrate Stitch by Stitch and the persistence it takes to write a complex, fascinating autobiography.

Breastfeeding Support Group
Are you breastfeeding? Pregnant and plan to breastfeed? Meet monthly to discuss any breastfeeding related issues you may have or to just share/swap stories with other breastfeeding moms.
The group is led by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) who can help you through any stage of your breastfeeding journey (pregnancy through weaning).
Cost is totally free and older kids are welcome. Meetings are held in the Children's section of the library.

Qigong with Gerry Sandweiss
In Qigong, your awareness is awakened in the first lesson and benefits accrue immediately. When practiced, Qigong helps to reawaken our sense of joy. No equipment needed except one's body.
Gerry Sandweiss has been a student and practitioner Qigong for fifteen years. Classes will be held Saturday mornings at 8:30. Classes held on the NWPL mezzanine - enter through back door of library. Please wear loose clothing and bring a mat and notebook. These classes are suitable for everyone, regardless of age or ability.

Beginner Art Classes on Mezz
The Friends of the NWPL are teaming up with renowned local artist and art instructor, Carolyn Egeli, to offer beginner art classes.
Carolyn teaches the principles of art, including values, color theory, and composition, using traditional art materials. Beginners and intermediate students are invited to develop artistic skills at your own level. Under Carolyn's expert guidance, and the support of your fellow pupils, you will experience the transformative power of art.
On-site lunch break and instructional breaks and time for sharing.
Pre-registration for the four-part course is required.
$320.00 fee.
Register early - limited to 10 pupils.
