Open houses: Online, in-person or combination?
Land Use & Transportation staff began hosting open houses for some planning and construction projects in fall 2019 as a way to connect with people who did not have the time or ability to attend in-person events. When COVID-19 impacted our ability to host any in-person events, we moved all our open houses online.

In 2020, LUT hosted 20 online events. In 2021, we have about 25 online events completed or scheduled through August. Participation and public comments are generally higher in online events, but in-person events provide staff an opportunity to better engage with the community.
Which do you prefer?
Online open houses only
In-person open houses only
A mix of both online and in-person open houses
We will publish the results of this poll in the June 4 edition of LUT News. Learn more about online open house comment opportunities.
