Training                                          May 2020
Hello

Welcome to our latest training newsletter and the first since our lives changed so dramatically. We hope you are well and coping with the situation you find yourself in.

For some people now is a good time to think about improving skills or learning new ones for the future. So we are pleased to let you know that three of our regular tutors - Denise Cowle, Cathy Tingle and Hilary Phillips - have been making all the necessary changes to run courses online. They'll be using Zoom (which many of you are familiar with) and each course will be split over two days.

Introduction to Proofreading will run on 26 May and 2 June, Introduction to Copy-editing on 8 and 15 June, and Writing Digital Content on 17 and 18 June. CIEP has confirmed that 3 points will be awarded for the proofreading and copy-editing courses as usual. And we're offering the courses at a lower rate (£150+VAT for PS and CIEP members, and £200+VAT for non-members). Places are limited so book as soon as possible.

We are aiming to run more online courses soon (including one on ebooks) so please let us know if you have any suggestions for courses.

Our next newsletter will have more details of masterclasses, talks and other events we have in the pipeline but we wanted to let you know as soon as possible about the May/June online courses so this newsletter is a bit shorter than usual.

Best wishes

Joan
