A Happier, Healthier "YOU"
Promoting Strength in Numbers by Working Together to End the Opioid Crisis
We hear the sad news of what seems to be an overdose a day on the television or we read about it in the paper. We often associate overdoses with a younger population but the reality is, the opioid crisis is very real and doesn't discriminate based on age. Older adults can struggle with addiction issues just as an individual of any age can.

Especially when it comes to managing chronic pain, we often think pain medication is the answer but this is NOT ALWAYS the case! There are natural, holistic ways to improve your health and mindset. Do you know where all your medication is? Is it all in a centralized, safe location? Take the time to review your current medication list with your doctor and see if there are any medications you can remove from the list.

Prioritizing Brain Health and Reaping the Benefits
Aging is a normal part of life and when we age, it is normal to experience a bit of memory loss. However, it is important to remain focused on brain health and be extra mindful of what steps can be taken to help keep the brain stimulated and functioning at its best.

Don't Be Another Statistic
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), roughly 3 million older people are treated in emergency departments for fall injuries each year.

Especially given the decline in physical activity for older adults during the pandemic, this makes seniors even more of a fall-risk which can lead to lengthy hospital stays and/or rehab visits...but this doesn't have to be you!!!
