Blueberry Festival is set for Friday, July 30, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Downtown Marquette. Washington and Front streets will be bustling with sidewalk sales during 2021’s Blueberry Festival. Downtown restaurants will satisfy your cravings for blueberry fare, from blueberry pizza to blueberry beer, while many downtown shops offer will offer “blue” specials.

Please note, we have scaled back the festival for 2021 to better comply with COVID-19 best practices. There will not be vendors from outside the downtown district as in years past, which will allow us to focus on showcasing the wonderful shops and restaurants that make up Downtown Marquette.

Each summer an eclectic mix of local musicians play along the sidewalks of Third Street in Downtown Marquette from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. as part of a summer series titled Music on Third. Held the third Thursday of the month, Music on Third brings the community out onto the summer streets to enjoy fresh, local music and visit the more than 100 unique shops and restaurants that line Third Street.

The dates for Music on Third for 2021 are as follows:

Thursday, July 15
Thursday, August 19
Thursday, September 16

Washington Street between Third Street and Front Street is scheduled to be closed to traffic to accommodate streetscape construction work. The roadway closure is expected to last until June 19th and a detour route will be provided. Weather delays could affect the duration of the closure. Pedestrian access to businesses and residences will continue to be kept available. The City of Marquette asks you for your patience during the construction process.
