COVID-19 continues to present challenges for both our team and the families we serve. We had a call last night with the NJ Department of Health regarding the Youth Camp Safety Act. There are 2 items the State of NJ has revised for camps at this point in time.

  1. Revised New Jersey Youth Camp Standards: prohibits any off-site activities. At this time we are unable to transport campers to and from the Madison Community Pool for daily swim. The Madison Community Pool is open and eager to host our campers when the time comes.
  2. Revised New Jersey Youth Camp Standards: Sporting activities must be conducted in an outdoor setting. On days with inclement weather, our All Sports Campers will participate in Traditional Day Camp Activities.

The Department of Health shared with us that both of these are subject to revision. We have requested waivers for both of these specific to our program at College of St. Elizabeth and the Madison Community Pool. Governor Murphy adapts guidance and issues new orders daily. This may be revised before camp begins, but at this point we do not know.

We thank you for your patience and apologize for the challenges summer camp plans have become. We continue to work towards offering the families we serve a much-needed experience for your children this summer. We welcome any questions you may have and wish you and your family continued health and safety.
