Dear Fellow Congregants,
We are certainly living in the Mystery of Life. Most of the time I have a pretty good idea about how things are going to unfold, but today that not true. I am experiencing a time like no other in my lifetime. While the COVID-19 outbreak appears to slowing, I have no idea how it will unfold. My intention is to focus on what I can do today to support the highest and best outcome for all. For me this means staying home and only going out in public for essentials like food. I am fortunate to live in a housing track where I can take a daily walk and easily honor social distancing from any neighbors who might also be walking.
Our center is essentially operating virtually. Our Leadership council is meeting via Zoom. We continue working diligently to deal with the fallout from this pandemic. We were able to submit a loan application for a federal Paycheck Protection Program which is available for small businesses including churches. This is a loan to help small businesses retain their employees. Basically if we keep our employees we do not have to repay the loan. We submitted our loan application on April 3
rd
which was the first day they were accepting applications. They have contacted us for more information, but we have not received any further information. I imagine they are swamped with applications. I believe we will eventually get a loan.

The exciting news is that the new flooring is installed and looks beautiful. I am told the workers were very efficient and completed the work in one week. We will come back to brand new clean floors.
