GPHG - Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève
The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) is designed to recognise watchmaking production excellence worldwide. Open to all brands, regardless of nationality, the competition annually features several hundred watches marketed during the year and presents the most sought-after prizes in the field, thus contributing to the development of the watchmaking professions. Often referred to as the watch industry’s «Oscars», it has become an essential event in the watchmaking calendar and one of the most famous showcases in the watch industry. The award ceremony hosts the global watchmaking elite in Geneva in November every year. Covered by the international media, the GPHG salutes the finest creations in the watchmaking world along with the stakeholders who daily breathe vitality and creativity into it. About 20 prizes, including the “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix (Best in Show distinction), are awarded on this occasion. A roadshow presents the 84 watches and 6 clocks pre-selected by the jury to the public each year. This year, the exhibition will take place in New Delhi, India, Casablanca, Morocco, Geneva, Switzerland and New York, USA (https://www.gphg.org/horlogerie/en/gphg-2022/2022-calendar). The Geneva exhibition will take place at the Musée Rath from 2 to 20 December. The GPHG will offer watchmaking initiation workshops and a guided tour of the exhibition of 90 timepieces pre-selected by the GPHG Academy.
