April
Mask Reminder:

Under the Executive Order of Minnesota Governor Walz, properly fitting masks are required at all times, except if you are in the pool, whirlpool or shower. The mask should cover both your mouth AND nose.

The Winona Family YMCA reserves the right to shutdown activities if state guidelines are not followed. Thank you for doing your part to keep our YMCA open and safe.
Programming Updates
We are excited to offer more opportunities for members:
Adult Basketball
Adult basketball pod play starts April 12! A “pod” is a group of people that only play with members of their own pod, to limit the potential for transmission in the event of an exposure or outbreak of COVID-19. Each person may only play on one pod, with a maximum of 25 players per pod. Properly fitting masks that fit snugly over both mouth and nose are required at all times. The Winona Family YMCA reserves the right to shut down programs if state guidelines are not followed. Sign up is required, and participants must be at least 13 years old. Each program lasts 4 weeks. Various pod times available. During non-pod play times, individuals are not permitted to play pick up games

Nutrition Coach, Amy Lydia, is now available for both virtual and in-person coaching. Amy Lydia provides guidance that empowers you to nourish your body, mind, and spirit so you can look and feel your best!

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 24. The Y is partnering with Winona County ASAP to host a drive-through drop off from 10am - 2pm. Drive around the east/Mankato side of the building to safely dispose of your unused or expired prescription drugs (needles are not accepted). If not disposed of properly, prescription drugs can harm the water supply if flushed down the toilet, or be misused to sell, get high, or self-medicate.
Thanks to Winona Area Public Schools, bus transportation from area schools to our After School Care program site at the YMCA is covered.

Join us for the school year so your child can learn, grow, and thrive at the Y, while creating lasting friendships and developing lifelong skills!

Share Your Opinion
We would love to get your feedback on our current reservation requirement and guidelines for Pickleball. We are also considering offering a four week instructional clinic for Pickleball players of all abilities, including teaching the basics of the game, providing a structured time to practice, and to build a bigger community of pickleball players at the YMCA.
A Special Thanks
A big thanks to WinCraft, who generously donated new Wellness Center towels! A friendly reminder that the rags are to be used to wipe down equipment before and after using, and are not intended for face or body use.
Please be respectful of YMCA members, staff and guests. We have more activities running and spaces open now.

Thank you for being mindful of your time on equipment, your reservation end time, and programs running simultaneously in the same area as your activity.

Please also be courteous to the staff enforcing state guidelines and facility policies to help keep you safe. We want you to enjoy your activities here, and we also want to keep our doors open.
